The show at the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton was extremely well attended and had a very positive atmosphere. Reports from the show indicate that numbers were up 5% from the 2017 with 4,500+ attending over the 3 days with 41% of attendees visiting from outside the UK; 69 countries were represented in total.
The new CRE stand was extremely well attended with 58% of our visitors from overseas; once again, a great opportunity to meet face to face and discuss business opportunities with new customers.
A recurring theme delivered by many visitors was the lead times being quoted by the major Connector manufacturers. Thankfully, CRE has continued to invest in inventory, plant and resources throughout the downturn and we have been able to maintain our lead times for standard and custom products during the upturn in the market. Many customers acknowledged our ability to maintain lead times on our own products with other customers expressing a real interest in migrating to our products in order that they can achieve their operational dates.
The vision and support of the shareholders over the last 5 years has been truly outstanding and this has allowed the team at CRE to actively pursue new markets and opportunities whilst continuing to develop our product offering.
Looking forward to seeing you next year at Oceanology at the Excel Centre, stand J400, London on 17th-19th of March 2020.
