Underwater connectivity expert CRE, is proud to announce that they have achieved Type Approval for compliance with the requirements of Lloyd’s Register Rules and Regulations for the Construction and Classification of Submersibles and Diving Systems 2016 for a range of electrical penetrators.
The penetrators are qualified for use at a working depth of up to 650 MSW (Metres Sea Water) in Manned Submersible Vehicles. The penetrators support a wide range of operating voltages and currents to match the specific requirements of battery operated manned submersible vehicles along with offering full ethernet and 1080p/60 HD camera capability. Designed to operate at a broad operating window of -40 deg C to 60 deg C, they are ideal for applications in the most demanding of seawater environments.
Samples of each penetrator have undergone rigorous type tests through the Lloyd’s Register Type Approval System and have successfully been certified by the internationally recognised quality assurance specialist.
CRE’s integrated manufacturing facilities enable the company to design and deliver an extensive catalogue of bespoke and “off-the-shelf” underwater connectivity solutions suitable from the splash zone to full ocean depth for all marine based applications.
Ed Fennell, CRE Sales Manager said “This is another remarkable achievement for the CRE team. Since joining the business there have been numerous breakthroughs resulting in an ever-broadening product portfolio and application offering to the market.
This, along with our increased manufacturing capacity and impressive lead times to manufacture assemblies, positions us well for the next phase of growth for the business.”
